This TLD is only eligible to commercial entities and business entities.
Applicants for domain names under this category must be commercial entities within Thailand.
A foreign company may only apply for a co.th domain name if it has a representative in Thailand and this local representative must itself be registered within Thailand and be authorised by the foreign company to apply for the registration of the domain name.
However, if the foreign company has a registered Trademark which is issued by the "Intellectual Property office in Thailand", a local presence representative is not required.
Registering from Company Name
- Domain name must be the same as the registrant's contact's company name or its abbreviation.
- A company can register only one .co.th domain name.
- Registrant must be a business entity registered in Thailand
- A foreign company which is not so registered may only apply for such a domain name if it has a representative in Thailand and this local representative must itself be registered within Thailand and be authorised by the foreign company to apply for the registration of the domain name.
- Details of Administrative Contact* will be according to the details of Registrant (BA does not transmit Administrative Contact submitted by Partner to the Registry as the registry has only one contact for this entity).
* If the Registrant is a foreign company that meets the Local presence requirements, then the foreign company will be listed as the Registrant/Administrative Contact.
Registering from Trademark
- Domain name must be identical to trademark/service mark (can't be abbreviated/extended from trademark/service mark).
- A company can register as many domain names as the number of trademarks/service marks it has registered
- Registrant must have a Trademark registered in Thailand.
- A foreign company which is not so registered may only apply for such a domain name if it has a representative in Thailand and this local representative must itself be registered within Thailand and be authorised by the foreign company to apply for the registration of the domain name.
- NOTE: However, if the foreign company has a registered Trademark which is issued by the "Intellectual Property office in Thailand", a local presence representative is not required.

C. IDN .xn--o3cw4h (.co.th)
- The IDN version of .co.th is now available through THNIC, however is essentially bundled. If you register a co.th you get a choice of including the IDN version in your bundle. However you cannot register the IDN version seperately. Registrants will be asked to register the .co.th ASCII version which will remain the main (and billed) domain with the IDN bundled with it.
