.DZ - Algeria

REQUIREMENTS
The owner has to be able to justify his presence or activity in Algeria.
The registration of a domain name is effective within a maximum of two working days after the registrar submits the file in valid form to the NIC-DZ. A valid Registration Application File is a file containing the following documents:

- the registration form for registration completed and signed,

- A document justifying the ownership of the name for the domain name application:
  a copy of the trade register or
  a copy of the figurative trademark deposit with INAPI or WIPO or
  a copy of the official decree creating the entity

- In the case of a "registrar", a power of attorney from the applicant designating him to take charge of the domain name registration operation on behalf of the applicant if the registrar is not indicated in the registration form.
In the case of filing a figurative trademark:
- if the name corresponding to the trademark appears on two certificates (INAPI and WIPO) and the categories are different, the certificate of the domain name applicant who issues the request first is accepted.
- If the name corresponding to the trademark appears on two certificates (INAPI and WIPO) and the categories are identical, the prior art prevails.

TRANSFER
Transferring a domain name from one registrar to another requires the domain name owner to provide the registrar with a written and duly executed document requesting that another entity authorize the registrar to modify the registry entries under the name in question.
