The legal registrant/owner must be an organization registered in Norway's Business Register - Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (Enhetsregisteret).
The organization must have genuine activity and be real in accordance with the information registered in Enhetsregisteret.

If required by Norid the organization must prove its genuine existence.
The organization must have a Norwegian postal address.
NORID (THE .NO REGISTRY) ARE CONTINUOUSLY PERFORMING DATA CLEANSE PROJECTS AT THE REGISTRY. ONE AREA OF PARTICULAR CONCERN IS CASES WHERE A LARGE NUMBER OF ORGANIZATIONS CURRENTLY HOLDING DOMAIN NAMES ARE NO LONGER REGISTERED IN THE COMPANY DATABASE 'BRØNNØYSUND REGISTER CENTRE'. THESE DOMAINS ARE AT THE RISK OF DELETION EVENTUALLY AND WILL BE SUBJECT TO AN EMAIL NOTIFICATION OF DELETION SENT DIRECTLY FROM THE REGISTRY UNLESS CORRECTIVE ACTION IS TAKEN.
