REGISTRATION
  • When the Registrant is a business entity a copy of the Business Registration Certificate is required. This copy must be official (issued by a local authority such as a Chamber of Commerce, company registry, etc.) and contain an official stamp or seal. In addition, the certificate should preferably be in English. It is possible to send in native language, but this will slow the processing down.
  • Please note that documents are accepted in the following file format is jpg, png, gif, pdf and can be up to 10 Mb each.
  • Document must be issued within the last 1-2 years

TRANSFER
  • There are 2 types of transfers:
  1. INTERNAL TRANSFER AT THE REGISTRY LEVEL -  No Auth Code is required
    1. We operate as a registrar through the services of RU-CENTER. If the gaining registrar is also operating through RU-CENTER then the domain transfer is considered internal.
    2. You will need to provide NIC-D handle and the associated password  with this handle to the new partner/provider. Please follow the steps described in the document “NIC-D Handle.pdf”. In this document you will find all steps describing how to get the NIC-D Handle information and how to generate the new password for the NIC-D account with RU-CENTER.
  2. EXTERNAL TRANSFER AT THE REGISTRY LEVEL -  Auth code/ transfer code is required
    1. This is applied if the gaining registrar not operating through RU-CENTER 
    2. Please follow the steps described in the document  “NIC-D Handle.pdf” and “Auth Code- external transfer.pdf”. Please provide this Auth Code to the new registrar/provider of your choice.
The mandatory field(s) listed in Register product applies to the Transfer procedure also. Please note that the mandatory information is different for business entities and individuals.
Note that trades are not permitted as part of the transfer process so it is not possible to change the Registrant data at the same time as a transfer. The order must be submitted with the existing contact details.

REGISTRANT UPDATE
All Business Entities

Issuance and Transfer of Documents to RU-CENTER for individuals and sole traders

To transfer domain ownership, a Registrant should submit to RU-CENTER:

Documents may be submitted by:

  1. post to: RU-CENTER, 2/1, 3d Khoroshevskaya str., Moscow, 123308, Russian Federation
  2. delivery to RU-CENTER Office
  3. delivery to the office of one of RU-CENTER's regional affiliates

Specific cases:


Signed registrant update document in original
  • When the new registrant handle has been created and the registrant information has been verified at the NIC, BA generates a specific document necessary for the registrant update.
  • As the documents vary depending on the current owners nationality and type, we only accept documents that have been generated by BA from the order.
  • All signed documents must be sent to BA in original by ordinary mail. Scanned or faxed copies are not accepted. We require two original, signed copies of each document.
  • Documents from companies must be on company letterhead and with a company stamp.
  • When the generated document is in Russian, company name, title, and contact person name must be in Russian.
  • The document(s) must be signed by a physical person. First name and last name of a physical person is compulsory. It is not allowed to use titles, positions, or roles in the name field in the document.
  • With regards to a contact's title, only the following are accepted: Director, General Director, Rector or Chairman of Board, President, CEO.
  • If the document is signed by one of the above, the field 'acting under' must be filled out with 'charter'
  • Should the person signing the document not have any of the above mentioned titles/positions, it is required that the Director, General Director, Rector or Chairman of Board, President or CEO signs a Power of Attorney, granting a second person the right to sign the transfer document.
  • The Power of Attorney must be printed on company letterhead and with company stamp.
  • If the person signing the transfer document is acting under a Power of Attorney, the field 'acting under' must be filled out with 'Power of Attorney', and the number of the Power of Attorney document must be stated in the transfer document.
